The writing style isn't flashy, but feels like a conversation, which I think is what this memoir needed. There are sections that are powerful in their starkness.

Britney definitely spills the tea in this memoir, but the tone in which she tells her story is not vindictive or angry. It's very tasteful. One thing that comes through very clearly is that she loves her children more than anything. I appreciated how insightful and raw Britney was when telling her story, as it paints a clear picture of what she went through for years for those of us who were out of the loop. One thing I will say is that I wasn't a fan of the writing in the first half of the book, as it felt quite juvenile, but I found the second half to be much better.
P.S. Fuck Justin, Jamie Lynn, K-Fed, and her dad.
Favourite quote: "You have to speak the thing that you're feeling, even if it scares you. You have to tell your story. You have to raise your voice."
