Britney Spears was way nicer than she had to be in this book.

A book that really makes you think about the celebrity tabloid content produced and consumed every day. Though written simplistically, it's in the author's true voice and that voice has powerful things to say. An emotional read, but it's inspiring that Britney speaks out for herself and retains an optimistic perspective on her future life.

The writing sounds very much like how Britney would speak, which I think is a testament to either how good her ghost writer was, how much she actually wrote herself, or perhaps a bit of both. It didn’t get too deep into anything, but then again, I don’t know if it should’ve. The point of the book was to tell things from her perspective, not psychoanalyze her time in the conservatorship. The book didn’t  come out that long after it ended, so she may not have been ready to get too deep into it. She said what she wanted to say and that’s that.

Wow. It's unbelievable how much this woman has gone through in her life. I will never forgive society for how they treated her/how they still treat her. Let the girl spin around on instagram and post her emojis.

It's disgusting to know how her family used and controlled her...did not help her during her toughest times, nor did they care about her. I'm so glad she got out. I'm so glad people noticed something was up.

Was there real complex writing? No, but it was extremely emotional. As I read, I could hear her voice. I can only imagine how much trauma it was to go through these experiences and to revisit some of the worst moments in her life.

Great narration by Michelle Williams, highly recommend the audiobook! Listened to this while crafting with my book club which made the experience even more enjoyable 🥰

This memoir was an eye opening look at Britney. I grew up listening to her and if you remember HitClips, Oops I Did it Again was my first one of those so I had a lot of nostalgia listening to her book. We get to see the other side of events that I remember growing up seeing in the media.

It was a very emotional and heavy story that gave me a whole new appreciation and love for Britney. It was a difficult listen at times because of the content so definitely check triggers before picking it up. Britney deserves the world and fuck her family
