If I can’t have another full PJO or LHOO book, at least I’ve got this and Demigod Diaries/PJ’s guide to gods and Greek heroes. These will keep me sustained.

WIL
1) YOOO THE INTREPID AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM. I ONLY FOUND OUT THIS EXISTED LIKE LAST WEEK. RELEVANCE!
2) the INTERVIEWS (embodying characters done RIGHT). God this was really well done. Rick really GETS his characters. He made them so well that he can step into their skin and speak as them for “interviews” no problemo. The interviews were completely consistent with the characters and just plain fun to read.
3) Iapetus to Bob origin story. This is what I was missing in the heroes of Olympus series. This was mentioned more than once and became SUPER important towards the end there, and finally! I have the context!
4) bonus content. Who doesn’t love a good crossword puzzle?
5) Rick as a self insert scribe for CHB. Ha! Got a kick out of that. Cool and creative. Vaguely similar to some of JKR’s tactics

WIDL
1) too short. PJO and TLHOO are my only source of serotonin these days. Need more content to keep my brain functioning
2) as a counter to 2) on WIL: The opening story with Clarisse and Percy felt a little...I dunno- off center? Off kilter? Something about it just didn’t quite align with the characters as I know them.

This short work was not nearly as enthralling as the series. It did have some cute moments, and Riordan's sense of humor, which helped a lot.

The Demigod files is a collection of three short stories ft. Percy Jackson, interviews with a few campers, some information about the gods and weapons - told in a cheeky and sarcastic way. The narration style is same as that of the previous Percy Jackson books, so the stories go by quickly. While the stories may not be as good as the books, they take care of setting it up for [b:The Last Olympian|4556058|The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)|Rick Riordan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1519022209l/4556058._SX50_.jpg|4551489].

Stories:
1) Percy Jackson and the Stolen Chariot involves Percy and Clarisse. This is an average Percy Jackson plot and doesn't offer much to the user. If any, it is just a one-off event that could establish the friendship between Percy and Clarisse.

2) Percy Jackson and the Bronze Statue is a short story in the camp that happens during one of their "Capture the Flag" games. While this too is an average Percy Jackson plot, this is much better than the first short-story. It also marks the beginning of the Percy - Annabeth relationship, so it's not a total waste.

3) Percy Jackson and the Sword of Hades is a short story featuring Percy, Thalia and Nico. This one is slightly longer than the other two and is the best of the three. This one is an adventure in the underworld - a race to find the sword of hades before a member of Team Kronos takes it to the mortal realm. The events in this book has an impact in the overall world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. A very satisfactory read, overall!
