This was a 5 star read until the last 10%!! I have no desire to read the sequel as I can't stand breaking up then getting back together when they have both found somebody else.....and had sex with them! It's the same as cheating IMO even if they are broken up. Besides, she had too many issues that never got resolved! I guess I'm just old school when it comes to a romance novel. Once they are together I want them to stay together or only be apart for a short time. Just my preference.

Ooo Mr. Burnham!! You are deliciously frustrating!! It's like the old saying, "secrets, secrets are no fun, secrets secrets hurt someone." Just tell her already haha! And Olivia, girl that is a professional runner.... Stop! Enough said but enjoyed the book!

A Beautiful Mess is not that mesmerizing. I think I can not stand the stalker behaviour from both the characters.
The plot is there but is not edited very well.

My first read by Miss Leigh. The book ends eoth cliffhanger after the big secret is revealed.
Sadly I am not going to finish this series.

I picked up A Beautiful Mess when it was free on Amazon because everyone who has read it has told me that it is amazing and it is definitely an absolutely beautiful book. Alexander and Olivia’s journey is an emotional journey that will take your breath away.

I read A Beautiful Mess and A Tragic Wreck back to back and A Beautiful Mess is my favorite. In this one we meet Alexander and Olivia, we see Olivia’s story start to unfold, the secrets from her past that she can’t remember yet. We understand why she runs, we walk through her nightmares with her, we hope for her.

Olivia has been through more at a young age than any person should have to go through and it has messed her up. Yet Alexander keeps protecting her, helping her stay standing. Their relationship is a beautiful thing. Can Olivia overcome her past and what she can’t remember though? That is what we are waiting to find out.

Emotional, sad, happy, hot, steamy, this book has it all.

I loved it and I can see why everyone was talking about it. It really is an amazing book that will have you wiping tears away as you wish for our main couple to get to where they need to be.

I can't honestly remember how I got this book. I wanted to like it, I really did, because the concept holds a lot of promise. However, I ended up flouncing about 80% through.

While there are certainly things I liked about the book and the characters (love of animals, connection between Olivia, Mo, and Kiera), it read poorly. It wasn't even the POV jumping that really got to me, either, it was the mercurial aspect of Alexander and Olivia, too. The over-the-top'ness of, well, basically everything. I'm quite willing to suspend my belief up to a certain point, but after a while... I just can't.

One major irritant for me, mood-swings aside (never mind any comparisons I drew between these characters and those from a certain series - no, I'm not talking story-wise, but characters themselves), were the sex scenes. Seriously? Every. Single. Time someone comes, they scream or shout the other person's name? Also the control aspect. Don't get me wrong, I love a good BDSM (-style) story, but this was definitely not it.

This story just wasn't for me.

I honestly, wasn't sure I was going to like this one, but I did!! Once I got started, I did not want to put it down. Can't wait to see what's in store for Olivia and Alexander in book 2!

Can we say roller coaster?!?! The emotions felt in this book was insane. Alexander and Olivia complimented each other so well. The whole situation with that Donavon creep is scary. Must read the next cuz I NEED to know what Olivia's reaction will be when she finally knows what Alexander has been keeping from her!!

Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster! I absolutely loved Alexander Burnham and I was good with his possessive side - especially in the bedroom. I liked Olivia but I really wanted her to open up and let Alexander in and the end really, really made me sad. Throughout the book though I really wanted Alexander to tell Olivia the truth and open the envelope!!!!

Looking forward to reading book two - A Tragic Wreck.
