Excellent finish to an enjoyable trilogy about a half-demon peace-keeper/liaison for a Norse goddess in small town, USA.

A bit of an angsty love triangle (but it ends! and not everyone involved is an immature jerk!). Otherwise a fun, modern-day romp with fey creatures and mythology. Definitely read them in order-- this one builds heavily on the previous two.

Great fun read I literally stayed up until two in the morning to finish.

Even though I haven't read the earlier books I the series there was enough"remember when"material to get me up to speed without it being to annoying.

This is the kind of magic I can dig. It's got rules, and a logical basis behind it that makes it easy to swallow.

The characters are what you'd expect from this author without being repetitive. There's a rainbow of real people in here.

Now I've got to backtrack and start with book one.
Recommended to anyone who thought the book blurb sounded fun.

All in all it is a decent pop-corn read, but it will likely be moving on to the used book shop.

I really enjoyed this book and this series. And I do hope that this is the end of the series because the ending felt right.

I will miss the characters though. With a lot of Buffy references and interesting characters, POISON FRUIT is a quick read and definitely brain candy. It's not all fun and games though as this book addresses some deeper issues such as facing one's fears and listening to your heart.

I like Jacquline Carey. What can I say? A good book in this series...lots of fodder for future books in the series, as well.

A satisfying conclusion and it doesn't take 20 books to get there! Carey writes some epic mothaf*ckin battles.

not as good as the first 2 because Daisy was realllllllllllly showing her age. she was totally acting like a 24 year old. she was very much in her head- "oh woe is me!", "does he like me? do i like him?", "oh which badass man should i choose?", and so very mary sueish. so very young.

the ending (which i kinda figured out) did make up for a lot.

It's been a while since I read the last 2 books in this series and don't seem to remember the writing being so hackneyed.

The continual reliance on using pop culture references to explain character feelings was very distracting and took away from what little story there was.

I only read to page 106 and then couldn't read anymore.
