I'm not going to lie, this book got 5 stars based on Tyson and the ending alone. I loved the first book, but I actually loved Sea of Monsters even more.

I mean, I need to dive straight into the characters. Tyson, actually has to be one of my favourite characters of all time. He is such a sweetie, I love him so much. I dont really want to go into too much detail as I dont want to spoil this book, but Tyson made me laugh a lot, he made me say "aww" a lot but he also broke my heart in several places on numerous occasions. What a character. He is perfect. Whilst we're on characters I also really enjoyed watching Percy's character develop. I enjoyed seeing him progress and grow into his situation. I cant wait to see more of this happening.

Again, the writing style for this book really made it for me. It was a fair bit shorter than the first one so it was packed with action. With every turn of the page I was taken by surprise and I just wanted to read more and more. Had I not had to go to sleep and be an adult I would have also devoured this one in a single sitting. As soon as I woke up I read the final 100 pages because I needed to know what had happened.

Before going into this book I had skim read the goodreads reviews, and found that everyone commented on the ending. They were SO right! That ending. It immediately made me want to pick up the next book to find out what happened next! I cant wait to continue, which is what I will be doing now I have finished this review.
