It took me a little while to get into this book and that's partly because of life and partly because I feel like I've read it before, but checking my GR and storygraph I definitely haven't, I was definitely too in my head about it then. Once I got into it though I did fly through the book!
Rai is a woman in power in the Bratva, not that everyone is happy with that, when it's a choice between her or her cousin/best friend, to get married, Rai doesn't even think twice before protecting Ana. Kyle comes back into the Bratva after being gone for 7 years, much to Rai's shock, she's still hurt from when he left last time, now she has to marry him.
I did really enjoy this book. I don't usually enjoy a cliffhanger but that's only because I don't like to wait. I'll be jumping straight into the next book now. I love a Mafia romance, especially ones with twists and turns!

honestly boring, almost all the sex scenes reminded me of all the lies so it all felt very repetitive

this was different from the other books i've read and that's because it's my first mafia romance book. it was short and i devoured it, finishing it in one day. it ended in suspense and i will immediately start throne of vengeance to see what rai will do now that she has found out the truth
