Every bit as fun, clever and memorable as its companion book, [b:The Day the Crayons Quit|16101018|The Day the Crayons Quit|Drew Daywalt|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1397425766s/16101018.jpg|21911319]. Daywalt cleverly constructs the story around Duncan's lost and neglected crayons, and their letters sent from multiple locations via postcard range from amusing to downright hilarious.

Cute story book. Crayons seem a little more than peeved to be left out, but I'm sure the kids would enjoy the scenarios the crayons are running away from.

I know I am an anomaly, but this sequel is not any more interesting to me than the first one. I find that I just don't really care that much about these crayons. The story has some cute jokes, but it drags on for me. My students loved the first one so I bought this one. I am pretty sure they will enjoy this one too. I was trying not to let my bias show last year when the first book was up for our state award. I read it with voices and lots of animation. Many of my students voted for The Day the Crayons Quit to win. I don't enjoy slapstick, but my students definitely do.

I actually think I liked this one a little more than the original. The sequel allowed for more character work and humor. Esteban is a treat.

Very very fantastic book and excellent characters (Esteban in particular). Would be great for in EYFS/Y1.
