i started this book not totally sure how to feel, especially when a major, somewhat predictable twist hit before page 100 that was somewhat disappointing. but oh my GOD. the first twist was a complete red herring that the rest of the book proceeded to unravel. there were so, so many different twists and turns, but the story never felt disjointed. the twists all came together to form one absolutely crazy story, and the ending was absolutely fantastic. absolutely loved it

That was so lame. Zero percent of the characters' motivations made sense to me except for Charlie's initially wanting to return home to be with her grandma. There was a good premise and a good twist, but all of the characters' decisions were unbelievable.

Erm. I usually really enjoy Riley Sager’s books. Good for modern horror types. Was looking forward to this but just found it to be a mess. Charlie annoyed the heck out of me, the amount t of dumb decisions being made in this is mind blowing, the ultimate story was a bit of a letdown and rather predictable. I wouldn’t recommend this one if recommending Sager’s work to others, I just didn’t gel with this one and was frustrated more than anything.
