This wasn’t my favorite only because I always have a problem when the FMC overly cares what others think of her. There was a time in my late teens/ early twenties where I could relate to that, but now I just can’t relate at all. Annabelle cared so much about what others thought of her and her relationship that it almost drove her mad. Connell was so good with giving her affirmations but she couldn’t give him the same service back. I just got really frusta with her and her constant need of approval from others that I was completely turned off of this book.

It is official.
I am giving up American men in place of sexy Scottish men. Sorry, not sorry.
Connell was absolutely swoon worthy.
That accent, that Scottish lingo, that dirty and sweet talk. Fire extinguisher and new panties will be needed.
I mean did Annabelle really even stand a chance?? Laughs, anger, emotion, love, and so much awaits you in Connell. The Reapers are back and once again Samantha Whiskey doesn’t disappoint.

I must sound like a broken record now when it comes to Samantha's books but *swoon* I fall in love with every single character she writes. Two words: KINDLE CRACK.
I absolutely adored Connell and Annabelle. The banter, tension, drama, the sexy times.... oh sweet baby Jesus, the sex was

There was a lot of good going for this book. It deals with Connell, the perpetual joker of the Caroline Reapers, and Annabelle, the buttoned up friend of Echo. These two were complete opposites in so many ways.
I guess the problem I had was the miscommunication in this. Annabelle says she loves herself and thinks she's beautiful, but she actual doesn't, because she constantly thinks she isn't worthy of Connell's love, because she isn't his "typical" type. Not only that, there is a misunderstanding and she just cuts him off and doesn't allow him to explain. I know this is how the books gets the third act conflict, but I just hate it in such a big way.
These two, though complete opposites, has steamy chemistry, and were the perfect match for each other. I also really like how the author brings in the guys that are going to be the focus of the next few books, so we can get to know them too.
