**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a brilliant post apocalypse book with all the feels and a happy ending.

Layne is moving on from her old town after her grandmother finally dies, it has been four years since the large asteroid hit Europe and the world is still suffering from the impact. It is shortly after leaving that
travis comes across her and things change for the both of them.

Travis is a lot older than Layne and only stayed in the same town to be with his dying daughter. After her passing he too decides it is time to move onto Fort Knox and the rest of the town.

The pair help each other in ways that they need without realising and form a bond of the strongest kind. However both are guarding their hearts from the other, not knowing yet what the other wants and too scared to ask.

The chemistry between them is hot and sweet at the same time, Travis is always very careful and gives Layne just what she needs. Both are very good at looking after each other where needed.

I really enjoyed this story and although it is not long certainly packs a punch.

I loved this. It was angst, heartbreaking, sensual and so hot. Another reviewer said it perfect “how does she make every sex scene so unique?!”

Layne was smart, brave and independent. Travis was quiet, protective and dominant when he needed to be but also so incredibly soft and loyal.

He never did anything to or for Layne without her permission which stood out to me. In a world where laws don’t exist, he was still such a good man.

I’m readying the rest of these series when I’ve regrouped a little. It’s not easy for me to think about the world becoming this way while entirely possible.

This made me want to try if anything ever happens to our reality. Hope is always there.

This hits all the right spots for me. The characters have a real strong chemistry and the times they are together are scorching.
I have got a new book crush in Travis Farrell and he's definitely a person you'd wanna stick with in a post-apocalyptic event. He is a heady blend of hard and soft and possibly the most attractive "hillbilly" character I've ever read, not that I've come across many.

Bitch I cried. I ugly-cried during Travis' speech.

Honestly really cute so predictable but still a good story and love the post apocalyptic vibe
