Well, I guess it's just not for me because I really can't handle this much spice. It's too overwhelming. Furthermore, there is no strong plot or character development.

The only thing I adore is their friendship (or the Primas of Power groups). Their unwavering support for each other is the most realistic feeling I can experience in this book.

childhood best friends > not on talking terms > reconciling (fwb) > fake dating > lovers???? sign! me! up!

unfortunately it fell flat because while i do understand where gabe is coming from regarding the fallout i still think it’s so dumb considering they were the bestest of friends.
plus, while i also understand that they have some built up sexual tension that spans yearsss and that the sex that can come out from that is spicy, i was hoping for more tension and clarity before they started being friends with benefits.

let’s also not forget how mich LIED and practically forced gabe which is not a good look just because SHE wanted answers and was so unprofessional (i’m not the biggest fan of forced proximity and can usually look pass it but in this case it was totally not consensual)

i did however appreciate gabe’s dad character development. and while i thought the fic that they wrote was over the top,
Spoileri do appreciate the way it was used as a gesture to win her back at the end

wish that were me: 2/5
snu snu meter: 3.5/5
overall: 2.5/5

DNF.

This book just did not work for me. A grown man of 30 acting like a teenager and hiding from his parents is maybe an amusing story once, but really the entire thing just made me uncomfortable.

I'm torn between 3 and 4, there are so many elements that I enjoyed but it kinda repeated itself over and over again. Although the fan fiction was cute it didn't do anything for me, it was mostly boring. But it's definitely entertaining

Who says you can't go home again? Gabe left his hoe in the Bronx after High School to attend college in CA> His leaving caused life changing arguments with his father and a heart break with his best friend, Michelle, Now he's part-owner of a gym and is looking to expand to NYC. His partner has found the best marketing manager there is - unfortunately it's his ex-friend Michelle.
Throughout the book, Gabe and Mich work through old feelings from the past trying to ignore the fact that they are falling in love.
Gabe has no plan to stay for longer than a few days but when they get caught by his father they are the talk of both families. Gabe needs to get his act together to figure out what he really wants, who he wants it with and where he wants to be.
This long lost love story finally gets the Happily Ever After it deserves. I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.
