A pool of idols, and fledgling gods being killed, and tremendously creepy punishment stone figures, who wander the streets while their inhabitants scream in agony. More fantastic world-building and a brilliant story.

Reading this series has given me immense joy and frustration. The chronology is all out of order and I've followed the publication order because I believe that is what the author intended. So far, so good. Book 1 was at Alt Columb, Book 2 was at someplace I'm sure I'll remember later and Book 3 is at a place called Kavekana which basically means Hawaii for me.

Thankfully, there is someone from Book 1 over here and therefore I'm glad to know that yes, I'm reading the same series.

Meet Kai and Izza. One lady priest of gods who are dead in the wars and the other, a child who is playing priest to kids who follow her. Here, neither Gods nor Death Kings ruled until Kai heard an idol that she made, speak poetry.

Welcome to Pandemonium.
