WOW. I have no words. I dont remember the last time I sat down and finished a book in one sitting without looking up. I liked this book a lot - not necessarily because I can relate to it, but because the characters felt to real and raw.

Not sure whether to give this 2.5 or 3 stars
I'm shocked that people are praising the writing style. To me, it was horribly overembellished. I got very frustrated with the constant generalisations meant to be deep philosophical pronouncements, e.g. "There are some lives we don't  like but are nonetheless mostly harmless, like the chlorine  in our drinking water. "

I thought the story was an interesting one. But I just wish Eve Balthasar would've gone more into the characters' psyches and personalities rather than banging on about the same issues- Boulder is bored, Samsa is fulfilled, we get it!!!

I like the language and style of writing but I didn’t like any of the characters at all.
