After the disaster of the previous book, this installment is a significant improvement.

Lindsay has thankfully returned to being a rational and thoughtful adult, and the mystery surrounding the death of Peter Rosen and the search for his brother, Stewart, has several intense and suspenseful moments.

While there are some encouraging developments regarding Lindsay's romantic entanglements, the love triangle is getting old. She really needs to choose between Sully and Robbie (hopefully the former rather than the latter).

Overall, an entertaining read, and I really enjoy returning to the town of Briarcreek with its wonderful sense of community and friendship.

A Likely Story is the sixth installment in the Library Lover's Mystery series and I am really happy that this is one of the series I decided to bump up on my TBR pile. I love any cozy mystery that is related to or has a book theme so this series is right up my ally. The characters are well written and strong. The secondary cast is diverse and adds so much depth and dimension to the overall stories. I've decided that I want to belong to the crafternoon club. They are a terrific group of women. The mystery was woven nicely through the entire story and the book had a brisk pace that kept me turning pages. Unlike other books in the series, the suspects were somewhat limited so this time around I thought I had an idea of the killer's identity. That being said, the author did throw in a nice twist at the end and I didn't totally guess right.

I'm off to read book 7 in the series. I'm trying to catch up so that I am current when book 10 comes out later this year.

I know this has received very positive reviews, but it was too trite for me. I usually read a book like this in a couple of days and this one took me almost two weeks; mostly because it couldn't hold my attention and my mind would wander as I was trying to read it. There were too many occasions where Lindsay's thought processes just made me want to roll my eyes. The romantic aspect of the books is becoming too drawn out as well. This is a young, professional woman behaving like a 13-year-old. And the author's descriptions of the interaction between Sully and Lindsay don't support the reasons we are given for Lindsay's reluctance to commit.
