I wasn’t expecting this book to be what it was. I went in blind and I’m so glad I did. Kennedy Ryan is that girl with the writing. Cannot wait to read more of her masterpieces!

This is an unequivocally quality book. Incredibly moving and well written, but be prepared to endure a truly deep emotional roller coaster. I read a lot of dark romance but nothing I’ve read comes close to feeling like I was living Iris’ nightmare with her. Fantastic read, but I don’t know if I could put myself through it again for a reread.

Wow. This was incredible. The beauty of the writing was only enhanced by the performance of the narrators. I don’t normally prefer books with such heavy content, but this was so well done. It also felt educational and realistic as to what living in a dv situation is, without it being overly preachy or having a savior complex.

this book was AMAZING. i’ve read 3 kennedy ryan books and she is just the best storyteller. her writing is top tier unmatched and has me crying all the time. this book had a hefty plot and will have u giggling, then angry, then crying of happiness. AUGUST, the man you are😫
