Some of the most gorgeous writing on writing I've ever read. I wish I could go back in time and give this to myself as I was grappling with my very first pieces of creative nonfiction and tell her that it's all going to be okay.

was still waiting for a plot to begin... went to a random page a few dozen down and the protagonist was still mulling over the exact same situation and I literally laughed out loud and closed the book. maybe I just didn't Get It, but no matter what, not my cup of tea.
