I’ve absolutely loved the previous Jock series book and the How to Date a Douchebag series book. And this one ? It’s in the top 3.

I’ve laughed so much.
Ashley and Georgie are cute as can be. Both very witty which I enjoy immensely. And the tension ? Top-notch !

Georgie is a good girl through and through, she struggled with the cruelty she dealt Ash and honestly whiteout the pear pressure she would have never done it. She tries to makes amend even though it’s really uncomfortable, one because Ash isn’t really receptive and two when you’ve been mean and insensitive it’s not easy to own it.
You get attached to Ash right alongside her as she discovers just how nice he is.

Ash is adorable. He’d hate to read it but he is. The proper mixed in with the rough attitude ? Perfect mix !
It honestly made my heart aches when Georgia asked the date because you could feel the rejection and humiliation he felt. (I love when a book makes me feel)
There’s a lot of expectations on Ash upon his return to the motherland, ones he’s ready to deal with but at the same time ones that make him hesitant to go all in when he knows he’s leaving.

I’ll just say, I wasn’t a fan of the end. Kinda felt like I’m missing closure on a few things. For example Georgie’s parents, did they meet Ash ? Are they less closed off about their daughter personal life ? Because damn that’s a set of unsupportive parents.
You’d think she was the one sent to boarding school and not close to her folks. While Ash is clearly loved and supported by his.

All in all, loved it. Can’t wait for another !

My favorite Jock!!

This book was so entertaining! I hope next book is in Emgland too. Ash and Georgia are the perfect addition for this series! I loved all the slang. If anybody can pull it off it was Sara, great read! #uklove

I received and ARC

The book was good. I enjoyed the characters.
The banter between them was great. And like most of Sara’s books I knew the cringy parts would be in here. And they were. Lol but really I love those. Cause they seem more like real people.
I read the book in one sitting and the only thing I would change is there are a few jumps in time between the chapters and I would have enjoyed a little more. Like didn’t she tell her friends she would tell them if they kissed? Ummm because that awkward moment of her telling them even a little bit of what happened would have been great. But over all the book was good. And I enjoyed reading it. Just wanted a little bit more.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Jock Royal by Sara Ney is book four of the Jock Hard series. These can be read as stand alone. The main characters are not in the previous books.

Ashley and Georgie are thrown together as a dare. He's broody and offended. She's embarassed. Throw in some forced proximity in a class as well as him trying to help her move out of the dorms and BOOM!! It's a winner. Oh. Did I mention there's a contest that gets them a trip to Vegas. You can guess what's going to happen. They're gonna play some more games. And that's when it gets really interesting.

"'Do you want to pretend for the weekend that I'm not your roommate?' Ashley stares. Stares and stares, studying my face, eyes boring into me. He nods slowly. Deliberately." I was literally yelling to myself when this happened. I'm deceased!!

I loved this book. Sara Ney is a master of the college sports rom. I will never pass up the chance to read these awesome books.

Entertaining

I enjoyed the story and the characters. It pulled me in from beginning to end and was fun. I enjoyed the way their relationship developed.

3 Stars.

Usually I'm all for the hero being in the doghouse and groveling his way out of it, but this time it was the heroine in that situation and I'm here to announce that it was just as entertaining.

So, ten outta ten for the first part of the book, but once they both started being nice to each other I got bored oops.

Not sure how to rate this.

It was an ok read , the first half was really good and then it kind of went downhill after Vegas

Idk. I was fine that they stayed married, I wasn't find that they were in a limbo with their marriage and I didn't love her parents reaction. I either wanted a real proposal or an annulment or to just be happily married this felt like an eternal middle and not a happily ever after.

loved the story but poor use of British sayings

I loved the story itself but speaking as a Brit, some of the attempts at English colloquialisms was bordering on embarrassing and stereotypical! The language stereotypes weren’t even modern with some sounding medieval. I love this author but as someone who loves this country I expected a lot more from them.
