The perfect story for the season! Imagine having to wear a blindfold whenever you are forced to go outside. Something is out there, something that cannot, must not be seen, because even a glance drives the victim into bouts of violent, often suicidal, madness. A masterpiece!

Why do I keep choosing Cassandra Campbell narrated audiobooks? No idea. The narration was better in this than "The Winter People," but she still tends to over act. I found myself wanting to fast forward through the book's climax...not a good sign.

The story itself was okay. It's like what the movie The Happening should have been. Though, the character development in Bird Box isn't exactly stellar either. I had a real hard time understanding the protagonist's attachment to Tom, who was rather flat. Sadly, a two star book ends my horror reading season.

10/10 would recommend to anyone.
This book was so well written and constantly had you on the edge of your seat with that unsettling feeling in your stomach. That's what true horror is.

I physically felt like I was experiencing what the characters were.
Way more creepy to read it in such beautifully written detail, than watch the movie. As someone who is a huge horror fan and is hence desensitized to it 90% of the time.

This book was really good at giving me that feeling I don't feel often.
It's very hard to get all the elements of horror onto a page, and have it all work.

I wasn't dissapointed in any way shape or form and I read it in 3 evenings. I was hooked. I was also very satisfied with the ending.

Do yourself a favour and read this book.
You won't regret it.

Very very creepy ugh. Malerman thought through a lot of details before finishing the book. Good job!
