I really enjoyed this story and all the elements included in it! But I did feel like it was rushed and like a lot happened in too few pages. I think this book alone could have been at least a trilogy and it would have worked even better, with more world building and development for all of these interesting characters! That being said, I really did enjoy this book!

4⭐️s but it could easily become a 5 ⭐️ series. I kept it safe bc it’s the first book in the series and I’m really interested in what’s going to happen in the next book!! The book wrapped on a on-to-the-next-mission type of cliffhanger, which is one that keeps me interested but doesn’t make me want to throw my Kindle

Really enjoyed it! Wasn't perfect, but it was easy to get into, the magic was interesting, and I enjoyed most of the characters.

The writing could have benefitted from an editor, but I found the story itself compelling and unique, the new couple at the end who will be the main couple in the next installment stole my heart, and the last chapters blew my mind.
Based on the tiktoks I saw from the author I suspect the woman will die so the man can be with his true mate/compeer, because making a polyam relationship is so goddamn hard apparently, and if that'll be the case, I'm out, but I really want to continue, because both the plot, the world, the now extended world and the caracters peaked my interest. I just have to be in a "the main character / your favorite character will die" mood for it.
I hope I'm wrong, tho.

I found this author on tiktok and decided to give her book ago, and I'm glad I did.
The characters could use a little more development, especially as there are so many introduced. But I'm invested and I liked the plot, so I will definitely be coming back for the next one.

I didn’t hate the book. I actually really enjoyed the story concept the different seasons and the monarch system. There were times when I got confused on several things, but I think that comes down to writing style. I did find the prose a little lacking. Overly it was a decent book, but I’m not overly eager to buy it.

Alternative world story/fantasy, found book from authors self promo on TikTok. Best part was some of the character development, while other characters were not explained at all. Found story line a bit blah-ish. There were errors and typos as well.
Good idea for the book, but not executed with consistency, especially the ending….to book 2.

3 is generous 2.5 is more realistic
Good concept but I was getting serious whiplash. I did enjoy the characters and the world but so much happened in 300 pages. Would have been better if it were more detailed.

I've had this book on my TBR for a while and Im glad I finally read it! It has a great cast of characters!
This is the first in a Fantasy Romance Trilogy. I really enjoyed this one! The prologue and very first chapter sucked me in. It's Earth but after civilization is reset by some supreme beings and magic is introduced. The story is very fast paced. I didn't feel like any part dragged and there's some mystery throughout to keep you guessing about who's who and who's doing what.
The FMC is an outcast in her village because of her unique coloring (imagine Ciri from S1 of The Witcher) but she's a badass. She's been secretly training with the battalion general and her brother, and she entirely capable of taking down a grown man by herself.
The MMC is powerful. He finds himself inexplicably drawn to the FMC and becomes fiercely possessive and protective of her. Don't worry, she puts him in his place.
He also demonstrates some “burn down the world” for her qualities. And I really appreciated that he finds the FMC irresistible when she’s kicking ass. He appreciates her skill and strength and doesn’t try to squash it.
I also loved the gender equality purposely highlighted and promoted by another male character who suddenly finds himself in a position of power.
