As a devoted fan of Sophie Kinsella's previous works, I was delighted to discover that "The Burnout" lived up to my high expectations. Kinsella once again proves her mastery in the realm of chick-lit, weaving a tale that effortlessly combines humor and heart. The main character, Sasha, felt like a reflection of myself, navigating through relatable struggles with authenticity. Kinsella's narrative skillfully conveys important messages about self-care and the importance of setting boundaries, making "The Burnout" not just an entertaining read but also a source of insightful reflection. In the world of chick-lit, Sophie Kinsella continues to shine, consistently delivering stories that resonate and uplift.

Picked this up bc it was available at my library and I was, as it so happens, Quite Burnt Out and thought it would be a funny and apt title. Delightfully surprised by the entertainment value here! Cliche, to be sure, but when you’re burnt out, cliche works just fine.

Pretty charming, if a little slight. I have never once pictured anyone in England surfing, I’m sorry to say. Regardless, I found the little beach town setting to be very funny and quirky in a way that I appreciated.
