(3.5, not a fan of the vortex arc but Hob's part is really good)

I don't know about this series. I started reading this and was like, what in the heck? Obviously it's volume two, so I must have read volume one. And I was thinking, did I like volume one? Why am I reading this? So I went to trusty Goodreads, and found out that I did indeed like volume one quite a bit, after an initial what the heck is this period.

So I pressed onward with The Doll's House, only to realize that maybe it depends on the mood I'm in on whether I enjoy Gaiman's writing. I definitely don't enjoy the artwork in these. It's not my style at all. But the writing was okay in parts, and interesting enough to keep me reading.

Maybe I'll go on with reading the series, but I have no doubt that when I finally get to it, my first thought will be confusion, and wondering why I'm reading it.

Whooooaaaa…

This was not how I was expecting it to go. Also: Not sure how I expected it to go.

I didn't realize that, at least this early on, Gaiman et al. parcels out the Endless like rare, Advent-calendar treats. "Here, you can have Dream…and a glimpse of Death, and just a snippet of Desire, and frame of Destruction. I'll reference Destiny and Delirium. Now shush. Keep reading."

I have seen Delirium in an errant flip through one of the collections (a friend of mine had a copy in high school), and I'm looking forward to finding out who she is.

Rose Walker's story is a very interesting one. Missing kids always make me nervous, so Jed's subplot had me extremely anxious. The Cereal Convention is supremely creepy. That earned a very enthusiastic, "NO THANK YOU" from me (one of my NOS4ATU "NO THANK YOU"s, so, it's like I'm enjoying this thing, but it's really f&*$%#g awful)

I appreciated learning more about Unity, and
SpoilerTHAT DESIRE IS MEDDLING IN STUFF!!! I hate stories that incorporate a raped "coma" victim…Kill Bill made me want to punch a wall. So the answers given in the final pages of this collection are extremely interesting.

Very excited to see what happens next.
