A great first person narrative perspective where you don't know how trustworthy the narrator actual is. I enjoyed how the story continued after the resolution to the case and the similarities drawn between both characters. Very well written and a fast read. Wish there was more of a twist but the story was true to life.

Enjoyed the voice a lot. Ending was weak and abrupt.

Holy unreliable narrator much?! I actually really enjoyed this. Obviously having been in and out of inpatient units for the last decade I had a chuckle at some of the ‘rules’ and rituals that the girls followed but I mean it was clearly researched well and I did not expect the twist. Furthermore (maybe plot spoiler?), upon discharge, I love the way the author made Hannah’s parents treat her very differently, as that is SO accurate to what occurs in real life. A very real, raw and honest fictional piece about schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder and associate symptoms. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed the story here, and the main character's voice is great - I just wanted to keep reading about Hannah for hours on end. There are some wild twists that keep you guessing, which I loved.

In the end, though, I was very disappointed with how everything was wrapped up. While perhaps realistic, it was bleak and felt abrupt. The title of the book is also mentioned wayyyyy too often within the pages for it to feel organic.

Would've loved this one when I was a teen!
