This was truly the most romcom story to ever romcom. I felt like I was watching a movie inside my head.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4!
I feel like this had everything in it to make it the perfect romantic comedy! The writing was easy to get into, the characters were easy to love and well-rounded, and the story flowed really well. I read it all in one sitting, and I think it'll be perfect for the Valentine's Day season coming up next year!
A huge thank you to St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review! I'll be posting a longer review closer to the pub date!

eeeee i loved this book!
this was another book that when i saw the cover, it immediately caught my eye and i've been thinking about it since the first time i saw it.
it was soooo sugary sweet!!! Lexi and Jake were so perfect and i was so devastated, along with Lexi, when Jake left. their reunion, however, was so soupy and delicious and HOT. so much tension. AGAIN, I LOVE A BOOK WHERE THE GUY IS JUST SO. DOWN. BAD. FOR THE GIRL 🥵🥵🥵 he was so gone for her. wow.
i loved the second chance romance aspect too! it's one of my favorite tropes. they've both been burned and they were trying so hard to be respectful to each other, and to themselves, and i just loved them together. Lexi's friends are also top tier humans.
def give this book a read!

🌶 | fmc is a chef and mmc is a musician
their first meet up and bond was so cute to see
they spent the weekend together and met after 15 months
they were a little bit careless and the problem started from there [paparazzi and media]
they have different definition of protection [mmc wants to keep the relationship private to save her; fmc somehow wants him to acknowledge her publicly]
hmm… cute at first [insta-love but was okay] but it became toxic towards the end [i feel like everything is about mmc and his career]
