A fierce and original dystopian story about privilege and society.

The plot is of a self-sustaining high speed train running perpetually after an apocalyptic event. The dialogue seems mundane and cliched sometimes. I recommend reading the prequel graphic novel first because it has more interesting dialogue and it's in full color.

One of the few examples of the movie having far more depth and creativity than the book. More of a straight allegory than anything else, so it lacks depth, and the female characters are definitely a feminist fail. It's readable and the overall ideas have potential, but they were far better explored in the film.

Extraordinary French graphic novel written in 1984 and finally translated to the English language. It has been cited as a major influence on the Walking Dead series of comic books and I can see why, extremely highly recommended for dystopia survival fans, the art is solid and the story is gripping. I'm looking forward to getting the second volume "The Explorers" soon.

Meh. A rare case where the movie adaptation is much stronger.
