I thought it would be a basic and trashy romance book, but it had surprising depth.

First 200 pages were absolutely riveting. Then it turns to a boring story about recovery and second chances - why do women always get back together with their embarrassing man? Redemption rushed and not convincing.

I ate this up until abt half way through and then I fell off for a bit as the story seemed to slow. Ethan wasn’t my favorite MMC but I did like the resolution to his character arc. He just seemed a bit flat. I liked Grey as well as the side characters though.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. The alcoholism hit pretty hard for me and overall just made this book not enjoyable,

What I thought was going to be a fluffy romcom turned into an angsty but beautiful story that I enjoyed so much. I love the fake dating trope but sometimes the reason for the fake dating can be borderline silly but not here! The trope was perfectly woven into the story and even though their relationship started out fake it felt so real. It was gritty and raw and a little ugly at times but that’s life! 10/10 no notes
