I feel like this has been said a million times before, but Sakamoto days is way better than I expected it to be. It doesn’t start off strong. I almost put it down and moved on, but the series gradually improves the further you get into it. It’s clear the author enjoys this silly story he’s telling, and that passion shines through. Stellar action sequences, some laugh-out-loud comedy, and surprisingly compelling character arcs. It’s not the most groundbreaking or unique mangas, but what it does it does well. I’m very excited to see where the author is going with this story!

This was a great first volume. I can already see that this series is exactly my kind of humour. I like all the characters so far, the pacing and style of the introductions was good and fit into the plot very well. The artwork is also good, I especially liked the action scenes in this volume, there was a lot of movement that was displayed very well imo (I could really imagine it playing out while looking at it if that makes sense). I can see this becoming a great anime, too. I’m excited to read more!
