TW: Self-Harm
I was aware from the title this would have self-harm content but some of Cathy's language was especially triggering so read when in the right headspace

I am a huge fan of Cathy Glass books. So far, I've read a lot of her newer books and I decided to start from the beginning, which this book is. It's very obvious that this is her first book and it's written a bit different and set in a time where the fostering system was very different compared to her newer books, naturally. It's not her best book by any means, but still very well worth the read!

I love Cathy Glass as an author she is an amazing woman too do the job that she does, this book really touched me I cannot believe what this poor girl had too go through, it makes me look at my own daughter and want too wrap her in cotton wool, am glad there was a happy ending for Dawn where she could move on with her life and try and get back what she has lost because off the pain and hurt she had been caused x

Let me start by expressing how much I LOVE Cathy Glass and all her books!!
And the work she puts in and all she’s does to help these children is phenomenal!

Dawn’s a 13-year-old girl that’s been taken to child’s care due to unknown circumstances. And few days after being taken, she’s placed at the care of Cathy in hopes of it bringing some sort of settlement in her life.
Will it help? What’s in Dawn’s past that let her become that version of herself? And why’s there a 4 year gap in her life that she, nor her parents, can remember what happened?
