Sweet jeebs, the art in this book. The transformation of Luci is like my most favorite two page splash I've ever seen. It rivals the tree rocket ship of Saga for me right now, and that's saying a lot.

Fleshing out of the idea of the comic, some interesting interactions, meet some more gods! It's still intriguing and I look forward to reading more.

Not as much happened in this one, as it did in the first one, but I still freaking loved it. I had an eyegasm looking at the art and the plot twist at the end...not ok writers...not ok.

In this issue, the fan-girl we were introduced to in the first issue visits Luci after being framed for murder. In order to prove that Luci is innocent, she has to bring the other Gods together. In tow, a smart-assy journalist comes up with some information on where "The Morrigan" could be found.

Did I say in my first review that I was hooked? Yes? Well, I'm saying it again. I am loving the characters, and how well drawn they are. All of the conversations between characters are great, and help the story flow very well. The dialogue in this book can be summed up into one word: witty. I can't help but to smile at everything Luci says, and when I met The Morrigan I swear my heart melted. Why is he so extremely gorgeous and built?!
Seriously guys, CHECK THESE COMICS OUT, I am so, so glad I finally decided to pick them up. I need some of the artwork put up in my room somewhere.

Another fantastic issue. Oh man, I'm already loving this series. Partially because I really like studying religions, so the personifications of these ancient spirits in contemporary times is just really hitting the spot. Partially because it's really well-balanced between exposition and fast-paced momentum. Partially because the art is so colorful with great lines. Partially because Luci is so effin' hot. The suspense with revealing the new gods is awesome! So much tension leading to the Morrigan, right?! And then BOOM! Baphomet! Like, it's just high octane and fun and charming and mesmerizing. I hope it stays like this for forever. Already looking forward to next months!
