The dog was my favorite character.

A librarian who really wants a baby meets a guy I envisioned as an elf at a magical Christmas market. They would be perfect together if only she could remember him.

A very original magic system and world & great Christmas vibes. I loved that she was an older mc even though she still made some teenage decisions. Hea

It took me a little while to really get into this because it confused me for quite a while, however, when I finally figured out what was going on I really enjoyed this book. The location the book is set in sounds magical and I wish I could find it.

The concept of a Brigadoon-like Christmas village is an interesting one. And I generally liked the story. But I felt like the resolution was weaker than the rest of the book.

it’s so funny because at the beginning of reading this book, i wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it, but those last few chapters had a plot TWIST!!

also, what i absolutely adore about this book is the fact that it shows that sometimes the loves of your life are in a platonic sense and not just romantic….astra knowing that a life without ronnie/steph/cassie isn’t worth it even if she can have her perfect life with jack was just absolutely heartwarming !!

also wth is it that christmas book men are just that perfect like excuse me wow jack is perfection (+ mads is by far the funniest side character no doubt about it!!)

I was very conflicted on this one, because I loved “Kindred Spirits Supper Club”. I was excited to see what Reichert was going to do next, and while I do think it had some interesting ideas, it also just fell short. The setting of Julemarked was so sweet and romantic and gave me all of the Christmas cozies! But the weird time dynamics and blissful acceptance of life without question there were strange to me. I also feel that the transitions and reactions to the large plot points were confusing and frustrating instead of smooth. I didn’t like several of the turns, but by the time I was adjusting to it, that decision was either undone or shifted to a completely different path. Overall, it was entertaining (and definitely made me want Kringle), but I think it also left a lot to be desired.
