I genuinely feel as though my life is complete for the first time since I started this series. And truthfully, I have devoured the series in its entirety, including the novellas in the last four days. I can breathe, and I am overwhelmed with happiness and satisfaction, and joy. This has been an amazing series, and even just saying amazing doesn’t feel as though it does this series justice.

I think I just outgrew this series and Mafi's writing style. This was underwhelming.

This series has always held sentimental value for me. While I was pretty disappointed with the final book (and the second trilogy overall), I had to have this book to complete the series.

I love Warner. He was always one of my favorite characters alongside Kenji and we finally get a novella that's all about him. I think it was nice to see the depths of his devotion to Juliette and for others to slowly start to understand why he is the way he is.

I strongly disliked how everyone was an ass to him for the majority of this book. It was annoying even though they were assisting with the wedding, I was happy with Juliette finally telling everyone to quit it. I'm also glad that Juliette became aware of how much Warner makes himself uncomfortable for her and noted this. I've always loved their relationship but Warner gave off some major codependency vibes here lol. The man could barely stand to be a moment alone without her but I give him the benefit of the doubt that uh, they almost died several billion times in this series.

I liked seeing the plans for the rebuilding of the world given we missed out on that in Imagine Me and I really liked seeing Warner realize that he had people who do think about him and care, even when they're being buttheads. Warner x Kenji brotp forever. I do wish we had a full wedding scene instead of it stopping right at the start of it and though I enjoyed Warner's POV, would've also enjoyed this being multiple POVs.

Overall, this was an extra treat for Warentte fans. Seeing everyone trying to live life and be happy was nice.

Surprisingly, this novella had some of what the past three books in this series were missing. Warner had personality (although Juliette still less so) and interesting struggles once again. There was also significant improvement in Mafi’s writing style. Perhaps the most surprising aspect was the improved world-building and the further developed idea of “what next” for the Shatter Me world.

I could have done with this book being half the length. The last couple of pages told me why this book was important to have in the series. BUT I would have wantet a little bit more explanation regarding the reestablishment and how come that whole organisation just disappeared within a short period of time!
