Will never read again, and likely never anything else by this author. Basically a short very dark LGBTQ 50 shades of gray, all in a bad way. The animal cruelty was not needed.

Any good book keeps you wanting to read more. I want to give this a four because of how enticing and thrilling the plot gets but the ending felt so rushed that I’m disappointed to have to give it a 3.5. This story basically revolves around severe abandonment and mommy issues (god.. the aunt part), sub/dom fantasies, and grotesque fetishes that aren’t even inherently sexual but character claims it’s “out of love.” Weirdest thing is, both characters have these human moments of guilt, like they aren’t fully passive. But once they feel rejected or powerful, they act immoral again. The end was cool but it was SO rushed. I felt jipped. Anyway, great story. I got it off of reddit because I refused to pay SIXTY-ONE HUNDRED dollars

This book is essentially Fifty Shades of Grey: Lesbian Horror edition.
What was the reason, the purpose for this book? I don't know what I was expecting, but it was just so weird, and not in a good way.
Both of the characters switched up so fast, it was bizarre. I wouldn't recommend this book, as it's didn't feel like it had a purpose.

such a strange read. i was a little disappointed for the end (i think it should have been longer and the reasons behind zoe’s disappearence better explained). overall, quick and intriguing read that got me out of a bad reading slump.

Not gonna lie, this was one of the worst books I've ever read. It was just bad.

This was unpleasant. I don't disagree with the premise of a bizarre D/S relationship, but the pace at which the relationship progressed was confusing. I also didn't think that it ended well, or resolved itself. This book was quite short, and for that it suffers from being annoyingly incomplete. I'm confused as to why the correspondence is part of a police report, because this also does not get touched upon. Overall, the big shocker was more gross than anything, but weirdly enough there was an online gross out blog called "blowfly"(huge trigger warnings for body horror, trauma, sex, blood , etc) which honestly reminded me a lot of this, so I wasn't the most original idea. I would be surprised if the author didn't gather inspiration from that to be honest.
