Did not finish, sadly enough. I just can’t get through the pages, or even 3 sentences, with the amount of detail, facts, and slow writing in this book. I’m sure it’s a beatiful portrait of Moscow in older times. But it’s not for me.

4.5. Took me a little while to get into it. Amazing attention to detail and I appreciated looking at aspects of changing society through Rostov as on observer. Really unique book.
