E un inizio di saga abbastanza solido ma che non mi ha convinto appieno, questo perché non sono riuscita a legare ne con i protagonisti ne con i personaggi secondari, ed è un elemento fondamentale per me. Un piccolo pro però c'è e sono le dinamiche e interazioni tra la protagonista Cas e l'interesse amoroso Elander, che ho trovato esilaranti e mi hanno fatto andare avanti. Altro fattore contro secondo me è il worldbuilding confusionario all'inizio ed il perenne infodumping, che comprendo da un lato perché il mondo creato è abbastanza pieno di tante cose, ma non mi deve pesare leggerlo e non deve essere forzato in conversazioni così out of character da essere palesi infodumping. Detto questo carino, finale con colpi di scena alcuni prevedibili altri no, ma non so se continuerò la saga.

I was pleasantly surprised by the way this book ended. It took me FOREVER to get into it. When I say that, I mean it took me until today to reach 50% and then it took off and I finished the last half today. The magic system and the Gods are confusing as hell. I enjoyed the character interaction between the main leads. I couldn’t predict where it was going, and now the main problem that they’ll face in book 2 has me definitely looking forward to it. Not my favorite, not the best, but definitely entertaining once you hit 50%.

Good plot line and well set up for book two, I just didn’t like the writing style enough to continue the series.
