Well this was adorable! I was actually pondering giving this book a 4 as it doesn't pretend to be anything else but a light read. But the final chapter took that one star away. I absolutely hate what Aspen is doing and that America didn't tell him it's obviously against the rules and "law" to have any romantic anything with anybody else while in Selection. Or didn't he know that? The supposedly best in his class while in army training? Because this behaviour will get her kicked out and most probably something even worse, when she applied just because of him. Mkay.
So the award for the worst person goes to....tun tun dun! ASPEN yaaay!

This is a very silly book to revisit. A very easy read while I’m sick. 

I would love to talk to Kiera about her world building, I have so many questions because it feels both slapdash & just thought out enough. Why is this not a movie?

I will give it credit, it is a very well paced novel.

An enjoyable start to a series that I will be continuing

Male Character : Maxon/Aspen....there will be teams but for me it was Maxon, I think that was because we got to see them "courting". Where as Aspen & her were already a couple so I wasn't as invested. And to be fair he did kind of push her into the situation.

Female Character : I liked America. She stayed true to herself.

Storyline : Like the TV show the Bachelor in a Dyso situation.

Surrounding characters : I liked Marlee

But was surprised there wasn't more about her and America before she was sent home, she was such a big part & then....nothing??

POV : America. I liked her, she wasn't silly or annoying, I thought she had real strength especially during rebel attacks.

Wanted to read this because of how popular this is, bad decision on my part. Worst mistake possible. It was soooooooo boring
This was so cheesy and cringy for me but I can see why people like this though, America is an unbearable character However I liked Maxom and aspen even though their names are horrible. The premis was interesting though.

• "im a man im supposed to be a provider" mówi ktoś w świecie po 4 wojnie światowej z systemem kastowym 
• hell nah ze muszą potwierdzać że są dziewicami 
• hell nah DOSŁOWNA kopia dożynek: są na podwyższeniu, burmistrz przemawia, mają eskortkę, żegnają się z rodziną, nawet kurde jadą samochodem 
• przedmałżeńskie ruchanie jest nielegalne NIELEGALNE płacze 
• jak przyjeżdżają do pałacu mają "makeover" (hunger games)
• ona jest taka inna gdy ma makeover ... inna niż wszystkie dlatego że nie pozwala by ją za bardzo zmieniali !

• ma jakiś pseudo atak paniki bo co ? jej mid typ jej nie kocha czy coś, jest e pałacu jest w wyborach jakby co
• oczywiście że książę się pojawił oczywiście "let her go" go kill yourself  
• „I am no more dear to you than the thirty-four other strangers you have here in your cage." jaka klatka, tak ona nie chciała być w selekcji ale jakby czego się kurwa spodziewała 
• jak chce by jej rodzina dostawała kasę (z każdy tydzień który spędza w pałacu) i jak chce jedzenie smaczne to powinna raczej być miła wobec księcia słodka i tak dalej a nie krzyczeć na niego jaki to jest okropny że trzyma je w "swojej klatce" i "czy nigdy się nie zakochałeś" girl

• problem z tą książką jest taki, że ma powiedzmy "ciekawy" świat - dystopia, osiem kast społecznych, wybory z 35 dziewczyn na następną królowa a książka skończy się tak, że cały ten system będzie rozwalony a ludzie czytają tę książkę dlatego że jest to inne i interesujące 
• drugi problem z tą książką jest taki że ... jest ona strasznie przyjemna do czytania, po prostu, czyta się szybko, miło i tak dalej, byłoby lepiej gdyby była absolutnie beznadziejna to możnaby dać jej mniejszą liczbę gwiazdek 

będę zapisywać ich outfity które wydają mi się ugly as hell: 

• black pants & white shirt (okej kelner)
• dress in a cream color (fell off my shoulders, fit snugly at my waist, and hit just at my knees) & a silver pin near the top of my dress. My name glittered across it & shoes called kitten heels"
• cream-colored, cap-sleeved, drop-waist dress with a heavy red sash across our shoulders
• wyobrażam sobie że jeansy które dostała od maxona to skinny jeansy i mnie skręca
