This is the fifth book in The Agency series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Pepper is the owner of two sex clubs and Bale is a watcher. He was hired to watch Pepper and gather information about her. After he collects enough information, he gives in to his desire to fulfill her fantasies. One night was supposed to be the end. But Bale can’t stay away and Pepper can’t forget about him either.
This book has some suspense and so much tension. It’s pretty high on spice and has some serious edging.
This is a novella, so the story is pretty short. I think that’s why I had a hard time really getting into the story and connecting with the characters. Regardless of that, I did enjoy it.

The perfect snack! Although a shorter read this book is fantastic. Marni doesn’t mess around with the spice. I also love her writing for always having badass strong female leads.
Bale has been watching over and learning Pepper while she runs her S*x club. Once his job is done he decided to dip a little business and pleasure. The way this book had me blushing and drooling over Bale. Damn. Definitely a great read!

Okkkk Bale, I mean Logan. I definitely need a follow up to this. I did not get enough.
Updated after extended novella released in 2023: phewww that was a ride. I still feel like I need a full length but absolutely loved the extension and break down of Logan/Bale and Pepper. The bit of action and suspense also was very much enjoyed!

I love this series - it’s super spicy and I love all of the characters so I was so happy when Marni announced this one. Bale and Pepper’s story was so fun and so spicy. The chemistry jumped off the page. There was also some suspense which was unexpected but SO good and kept me hooked until the very end. I highly recommend this entire series!

Marni gave her readers a super yummy snack of a read and let me just say, this one is SPICY! As a longtime fan of Marni Mann, I am quite aware of the steamy nature of her stories, but Dominated *cough* dominated that slice of the market. I actually walked into this particular story a bit blind and have no regrets. I loved how she took a steamy good time and gave it some depth with an intriguing and suspenseful storyline.
She met him in the bar and he seemed to know all the right things to say, and all the right things to do. He melted her in more ways than one. They spent an endless steam-filled night together and the next morning he was gone without a trace. How could he just walk away when their connection was far deeper than just physical?
