The Radleys  (Peter, Helen and their two children Clara and Rowan) have a secret - they are vampires trying to live a quiet life in a village in England.     When a situation occurs putting Clara, and the family, in danger of being found out, the parents  ask Peters brother (Will ) to help them.  Somewhat predictable issues, and solutions, to the modern vampire life (maybe if I had read it when it first came out it would not feel as predictable).  Overall, a good, not great read.

I loved the little insights into the background of the world this novel is set in like Abstainers guide quotes trought the novel.
The viewpoint was a bit refreshing and i liked the writing style.

This book was just OK. I found his book "The Humans" to be one of the best books I'd ever read so my expectations were high for this one. Not a bad book, but it also didn't blow me away.

I thought there would be a lot of dark humour involved with a family of abstaining vampires trying to live the white-picket-fence life, but alas no. Not what I was expecting. Maybe I came to this at the wrong time. It was predictable.
