This is truly the definition of a dark comedy, because this is so creepy and dark but also so funny and lighthearted. Bianca is a really courageous character in spite of their own claims and list of 60+ fears, and I was really compelled by their journey through their gender identity. The supporting cast really shines in this book-- the dynamics between characters are so much fun, and the banter is great. I loved unravelling the mystery alongside the characters, it made me feel like such a lil smartie:)

the audiobook is too slow paced for me, maybe I’ll pick up the physical copy someday.

Such a fun read! I really enjoyed the audio. Lighthearted but not lightweight by any means - this book has an interesting murder mystery, a Scooby gang assembled on the way to solving it, and a deep dive into anxieties, identities, and how connecting with others is a huge part of happiness. Love this author, and can’t wait to read more!

It’s a laugh out loud, YA, find yourself, and murder mystery all in one. Because this book came out in 2023, I found the references relatable and funny.

The plot is so silly but the characters couldn’t be more sincere & endearing! A great YA read. Even better if you like birds.
