Mitch Albom described this book, “The Next Person is about the mistakes we think we make, and how they are part of what connects us to the human core.”
This book is truly a gift from Mitch. Hands down my all time favorite book. I had butterflies, I got mad, I cried, and I smiled with pure happiness.

Meh. Not my thing. I didn’t like the first one very much but this one was just a little lacking across the board.

“We are blinded by our regrets, Annie. We don’t realize who else we punish while we’re punishing ourselves.”
The story was a bit predictable given the fact that it has almost the same flow with five people obvs. But, the ending! I wasn’t quite expecting that. 😮
Mitch Albom is still the best tho 💗 It’s hard for me not to give this a 5 star rating. There’s a lot to learn and realized from this book!!
“Dogs get sad when people around them get sad. They’re created that way. It’s called empathy.
Humans have it, too. But it gets blocked by other things — ego, self-pity, thinking your own pain must be tended to first.

A great follow up to his 1st book. I still love the idea behind these books. It's heart warming and makes you start to question who your own 5 people could be. This is a short book and I read it incredibly quickly: a very easy read.
