A must-read for anyone looking to understand the undocumented experience, or the Global South migrant experience in general. A stunning collection of voices with roots in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. I applaud the editors for ample conclusion of queer, trans, and non-binary voices.

I loved every page of this book. The mix of essays, poems, and visual art kept me open and engaging in different ways. Immediately, I've started searching for other works by the authors in this collection with my favourite pieces. Excellent, all around!

The HarperCollins strike has ended, so I will review this now. I read this as a potential common read for my university. Like many multi-author collections, it has some really strong pieces and some weak pieces. The weaker pieces often were very basic, by rote, while the stronger pieces were truly moving and interesting. The piece by Azul Uribe in particular was fantastic; she is an author to watch, for sure.
