Chase, Dragon, Stryker and Phoenix belong to the Immortal Hunters MC. They fight the supernatural demons who attack humans. In one of their mission, they clean up a lab where they pick up some people who were experimented on. Among them, Dani is the only woman. When she wakes up, she finds herself in the MC's jail. Now it is a new journey to find out what she has become and who is the leak in the MC who is trying to get her back to the society that experimented on her.
Dani has been abused her whole life, but now with the MC she is learning how to fight and we see her growing. It's fast paced story.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

MY THOUGHTS
Van Helsing Rising is a fast-paced, steamy, and hard to put down paranormal romance RH
If you like a brilliant snarky female, guys who can kick-a$$, and bad guys who just don’t give up, then this is a good book for you to immerse your self in.
I decided to request the ARC of this due to the name as I love all thing to do with Van Helsing and MC Clubs I’m so glad I did.
As a test subject, Dani was dealt a horrible hand in life leading up to the moment that Four Guys stumble upon her, and wanting to explore a connection they feel to Dani, they basically perform a jailbreak, and take her with them.
Due to her life so far she is very unsure about this new situation, while also trying to discover her power.
This book focused on uncovering Dani’s powers, demonstrating the guys’ powers, and outlining the world, organizations, and roles of everyone, which has laid the way for a more than likely AMAZING series. Their powers were unique. I LOVED how easily the authors demonstrated their abilities with humour and sexy times.
As the book plays out Dani can be seen slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with. She is becoming one hell of a woman and I can’t wait to see her as we get other books in the series.
This book defiantly had an outstanding plot and had the perfect amount of backstory and description in it to make it an all-round perfect book in my opinion.
I would totally recommend this book to MC fans, paranormal fans and people who like RH books.

2.5 rounded up

I generally love these authors, as they are both incredibly talented and deliver exceptional stories. This one, however, fell flat to me. It is a MC tale worth a paranormal bend, yet it doesn’t flow like I except from these two, nor does it offer a strong FMC. Perhaps it’s simply because it’s the first book, but it lost me - even though I stick it out to the end (last 2 chapters are almost redeeming for interest) but.... I’m not sure. The club treats women as lesser, and the group that will obviously become the harem are no different.

I chose this book because of the cover and I love MC stories. Dani is the main character in the books and she is found in the lab by the guys when the MC go to the lab. The guys are guarding her and through that the story starts. I really enjoyed the storyline and it definitely whet my appetite for the next books in the series.

I love these two authors so I jumped at the chance to read this as an Advance Reader Copy from Booksprout.

While it was well written as I expected and the world building was great and characters were interesting ... I'm not into Motorcycle Club (MC) stories I guess.

I do not like the way women are treated and marginalized and it made this book VERY hard to read. I just barely got it finished and while I would normally want to read the next book to see what happens to the characters, I do not have that desire.

In all fairness, I have never read a MC storyline and this may be the way they are ... if that is a genre you have read and like ... you will likely love this book!

Kindle requires a rating, otherwise I would leave blank.

I’m utterly tired and bored with the whole ‘betrayed body’ trope, as well as the female who falls for the guys who treat her like shite, and finally, ’doesn’t matter if he uses and throws away other women, so long as he doesn’t do it to me’ bullshit!

MC romance’s seem to thrive on all of these, as well as RH. I think I’ve binged myself free for some time to come.

Only major squicky trope missing here, is the ‘saints and whores’ trope, or ‘man-whore and virgin’.

What a wild ride! This is a thrilling and action packed MC reverse harem romance. The world building is incredible and the storyline is interesting and captivating. This is an amazing read and I cannot wait to read the next book!
