This was a great lighthearted book, the characters are just great, the plot is awesome. This book I recommend to any age, Jk Rowing just did fabulous on the first book of the series. The wizarding world is just so welcoming and amazing, this book is just such a good opening to an amazing, and loved series.

I love Stephen Fry's narration! It brings a whole new level of cozy to the experience as well as immersion.
Even though I don't approve of the author, I can still find comfort in retreating to the world of Harry Potter and escape reality for a bit. HP has a special place in my heart, and the books are beautifully written.

I haven’t read these since the first time over 10 years ago in school! I forgot just how fast paced and adventurous the first is despite building the world of magic for us.

I read the Harry Potter series over a decade ago, and wasn't super impressed then, and am utterly offended by them now. JKR is an abhorrent transphobe, and her non-white characters are nothing but 1-dimensional, racist tropes.

The pacing is really wonky, like it took them 100 pages to get to the main setting and like five pages to conclude the build up that lasted the whole story
