This is the 8th book in this series and it’s the first plus sized character which I liked and she is no nonsense. The main plot finally starts to take a turn and that intrigued me because moving forward there will be a change of plans for the whole group of Barbarians and their mates. The romance isn’t super strong. It’s giving more enemies to livers /forced proximity vibes. I definitely recommend to read in order as there is continuity. It’s a fun spicy read perfect for a palate cleanser.

Not my favorite but not the worst. I didn’t love Maddy. She annoyed me so much

I thought I was going to be annoyed with Maddie after the last book, but she turned it around. The book took us on a journey (literally and figuratively) and the surprise ending/discovery was exciting. Very much enjoying this series.

This is the first one of the series I actually didn't want to finish and it is because Maddie is so unbearably selfish. And any improvement she made over the course of the book was ruined when she declared she didn't care if the entire tribe died and refused to tell them where the safe city was unless they took the punishment off of Hassan for kidnapping her own sister.

I don't know why these books are so addicting. I hate pregnancy tropes and yet I can't stop listening to these 😅🤦‍♀️
