i like mary roach's conversational style. i think she could write about anything and i would want to read/listen to it.
i will say, though, that hearing about what happens to bodies during violent crashes while rocketing down I-75 was a little difficult. however, i was very intrigued by the descriptions of the ecologically friendly 'burial' methods developed by susanne wiigh-masak in sweden. when i die i would most definitely like to be freeze-dried and used to fertilize a nice shrub.
in summary, beautifully and humorously written, liked some parts more than others.
