I found myself going all sentimental and misty eyed over this. What a lovely childhood the children have in this book..

3.5, rounding down. This book connected with me more now in my current life situation than it would have if I'd read it years ago, I've no doubt of that. And there were many things about this book that I loved (including Dan). But overall it was just an "okay" experience for me. No regrets about reading it, and I enjoyed it. I definitely still plan to read Jo's Boys.

I adored the book ‘Little Women’ so when I found out that there were other books in this series I had to read them. Little Men is charming and the kids are sweet, but it just felt like a repeat of Little Women almost. It was still really good and I do recommend it.

I should mention that it did feel like it was trying to hard to give moral advice. I don’t really care much for things like that but it was like that with Little Women only in Little Men it’s ramped up. Little Men is a charming book and I did enjoy it.
