This was okay, but nothing really draws you in. Braxton and Kat hookup for one night. She rudely kicks him out the next morning. They have mutual friends and she delivers muffins daily to their Ranch where H works. They play the game where they are both mutually mean to one another. After some mean pranks they hook up again, fall in Love and get their HEA.

This novella is a good “taste tester” for the rest of the series if you’re not sure about starting one of the full length novel! The only problem I had was that it felt like the enemies to lovers bit was sped up way too fast in order to fit it into half the amount of pages of one of the other books in the series. I also didn’t feel connected to either of the characters that well. Braxton was a hot cowboy who treats women with respect and Kat was an ex snobby rich kid who owns and runs her own bakery. Their bickering back and forth didn’t really feel resolved after they got together. Almost like they were so hot together that it didn’t matter what prejudices they held against one another? I don’t know, that’s just the impression I got, lol, but I tend to read into things and expect one thing to happen and when it doesn’t I get disappointed.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, so I will have to continue on and maybe not read the novellas.

Roping the Cowboy is a short, sweet, and steamy romance. I didn’t like the heroine, and I really wanted to. She treated the hero like dirt and then wondered why he was being mean to her. I would’ve enjoyed this book more if Kat’s terrible scheming and unnecessary hatred towards Braxton wasn’t so excessive. I did enjoy the chemistry between them towards the end.

A sweet gentle story made all the better by not having an antagonist.

I first heard this story from the Read Me Romance podcast months ago being narrated by Aiden and Savannah. Let me tell you now that you NEED to hear Aiden’s voice as Braxton because it will amp up that southern vibes you’ll be loving. The audio version released was only until chapter 8 and this ebook version features the full 14 chapters plus epilogue. ❤️

Roping the Cowboy is all about Braxton and Kat’s hot (hot, steamy romps) and cold (if-looks-could-kill-you’d-already-be-dead-stares) relationship. It’s an all out prank war that started the morning after. *wink wink* The pranks were funny as hell and very sabotaging, they did not hold back at all! Add to that their sexy banters!

I really loved Braxton’s character. He’s sexy as sin and he knows it, but a real southern gent underneath the brawn. Everyone under Mama Bishop’s care are real gems! Kat on the other hand is on a different league. She’s been branded as the rich kid spoiled brat so she tries so hard to prove to others and to herself that she can stand on her own two legs, which is why she’s a real sassy bitch.

But as we all know, chemistry is chemistry and nobody wins that game other than chemistry. When they finally crossed that line and gave in, it was hella smooth from then on. I admit I love Braxton more than Kat because he’s just so sweet!! You have to meet Braxton at all costs so go read this!!

The Circle B Ranch have seen so many epic love stories since this amazing duo (Kennedy Fox) started it and I’d like to think this ranch will always be one of my favourite bookish worlds. Which means any story they make that will stem to and from this ranch—I will read AND love! 😍

*I received and ARC in exchange of an honest review. Thank you Kennedy Fox and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.*

Okay so first let me say huge thanks to Kennedy Fox for sending me a ARC (In book form) in exchange for an honest review! This originally was released as an audio book for the Read Me Romance Podcast (Which is on my podcast list!) and Kennedy Fox decided to publish it as a novella for readers to enjoy! Honestly this was such a fast read, I finished it in like an hour (I'm also a slow reader so that's pretty fast for me!) and it was amazing!

Getting to go back to the Bishop family and back to the Circle B Ranch is like I'm actually living inside the book. I've become so invested to these characters as a reader that it's hard not to have some form of connection to them!

"Pretty sure this woman had already roped my heart, and I don't ever want it back."

I don't even know what else I can say about this novella! It was fast paced, hilarious moments throughout, but over all you just feel like part of this big happy family! I seriously loved what happened towards the end of it, and I may have swooned... like a lot!

Oh I just loved this Read Me Romance title! It was so fun! I love when people have an instant connection that they try to deny and actually let it turn to temporary hatred and feuding. The antagonism - fueled by lust really, right? - was great in this book. It never went TOO FAR but it went far enough to be bad and hilarious. I loved the chemistry and I was really happy with the way Kennedy fox wrapped the story up. I will definitely plan on reading more from her.
