This book drew me in from the beginning. I wanted to know what happened to Ellie and all the other mysteries that revealed themselves throughout the book. It would have gotten a higher rating but the ending felt a little rushed and a little unbelievable.

The police sergeant covering up a murder and potentially the kidnappings, Chelsey's sister being alive and one of the ones keeping the girls, and Chelsey's husband just fully accepting the situation. I felt like the husband was glazed over too much where I wanted to understand him like the others but we never got that information, almost like the author wanted us to think the husband was the one taking the girls.

This was one of the few books I truly had no idea where it was going and enjoyed the surprise! Often when it’s truly shocking it’s because it doesn’t make sense so I don’t end up enjoying it but I was pleasantly surprised with this one!

A fast paced, dark and twisty read. While it was nothing especially groundbreaking, this totally held my attention with the need to get some answers. I really got on with Emiko’s writing style and found it incredibly engrossing and easy to read.
