I absolutely loved the beginning of this book, and I liked the end, the middle, though, almost lost me. I am glad I stuck with it and finished it though.

Mona is a housekeeper, with a unique view on the world, and absolutely no direction. After losing her boyfriend whom she met in a methadone clinic, she moves to Taos to start a new life. There she meets others that are adrift too.

I really liked Mona. Sometimes her thoughts and actions stressed me out. She is definitely a character that will stick with me, though. Aside from the move to Taos, there isn't a lot that happens in the book, it's more about her interactions with other people.

I have a feeling that this is one of those books that will stick with me well after I've been done with it, and the more that I'll think about it, the more I'll realize that I liked it. Those kinds of books are so cool.

Mona, she won my heart over! I didn't know what to expect going into this book but I ended up being so intrigued by this one.

Mona, a 24-year-old cleaning lady, is going through an emotional period after her relationship with Mr. Disgusting ends and she moves from Massachusetts to New Mexico to find some meaning in her life (and meet some INTERESTING characters along the way

Mona is a great protagonist, quirky while still being open minded. The characters are surprisingly charming, with the separate threads grounded together by Mona's personal life and histories.

Jen Beagin has a wonderfully weird brain that I can’t help but devour every time. The way she fleshes out her characters into a raw and fully-fledged humans with just a few paragraphs is truly incredible.
