A really interesting read with a very unreliable narrator. I was caught off guard with this one and actually really liked it!

The characters:
Hannah-- I did not like her at all. She believes she is the center of everything and that she's the next best thing. The way she tries to shape girls into her image and then hurts them gives me really ick vibes. Okay, I get it. She had a severe mental illness, but still. At the end, she gets a bit of a redemption arc and you are supposed to sympathize with her and realize she has changed. However, in my eyes she did not change very much besides learning that Jonah and Lucy were hallucinations.
Dr. Lightfoot-- She didn't really have any depth to her. If I could describe her with one word it would be doctor.
Hannah's parents-- They sucked. I could really see where Hannah got her behavior from. I kinda wished they disowned Hannah and then she could find a better family. They didn't seem to love her or care about her in any way.

Other thoughts:
This book was exactly what I expected it to be. It wasn't very exciting and didn't really make any kind of imprint on me. It was pretty dull and predictable. A good book if your in between reads. If your looking to get invested, don't pick up this book because you will be disappointed.

I’m not sure how this book made its way on my kindle but I couldn’t stop following Hannah’s story. While not the most complex novel I’ve read the allure of her diagnosis and what really happened to Agnes kept me reading.

the narrator is incredibly unreliable and the best aspect of this book, story, and narration is that the main character begins to unravel as you continue to read on.
