Wow this was incredible and really worth the wait!!
I’ve heard about Baba Yaga but don’t know all too much and definitely haven’t read a retelling of the tale before and despite my ignorance, I enjoyed it immensely!

The characters were great and it was a super quick read. My one complaint was I wasn’t a fan of Bellatine’s romance (no spoilers) and thought it would’ve been better without that.

Overall I will definitely read something by this author again and this has gotten me super interested in Jewish myths!

Yeah, this was really good. It kept spiraling in, another layer of the onion peeled back, a little more story unfolded, hints here and there of where it's going.

Wonderfully written, the pacing was brilliant and engaging, cast of characters is diverse and well fleshed out.
I enjoyed this book it was a fantastic debut from a seasoned storyteller and I look forward to reading anything else that she writes.

This is a book that I think would be best read in a long sitting or without frequent interruptions.  It is meandering and has multiple points of view, so frequently starting and stopping (not the books fault but my schedule) took away a bit of the enjoyment. The story and tension was interesting. I love stories about Baba Yaga, and while she isn't a main character she features prominently. The audiobook is very well done!
Overall it's a solid story, complex and detailed writing, and I would recommend it to others.
